  CLS & Associates was consulted to develop a trails master plan for Kingfisher, Oklahoma. The scope of services included facilitation of public meetings, mapping and research of land uses and historical features. The resulting 10-mile trail loops around and through the town, through neighborhoods and business areas, connecting parks, schools, natural areas and wheat fields. This trail celebrates the rich history of Kingfisher, with monuments and trail heads dedicated to important people and events. Project elements include concrete and asphalt trails, trail heads, site furnishings, lighting, sculpture, and signage. After completion of the master plan, CLS & Associates assisted with solicitation of grants and prepared construction documents for the three trail segments which have been constructed to date. Awarded a Merit Award for Design by the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
